Volunteers like Ray make everything at Shiloh possible. Thank you so much to Ray for saying yes to the invite to attend Night of Hope and then coming alongside us as we prepared for Camp Shiloh to reopen! What a blessing to share this Shiloh journey with Ray, and all of those who take time every year for the past 2 decades to prepare camp! Thank for being in the Shiloh family.
“I grew up in one of the hardest areas in NYC. El Barrio (Spanish Harlem)
As a kid I joined groups like the Cadet Corps and the Boys Club of America. These organizations were great in helping the youth grow and stay out of trouble for the most part. Overall it was a good experience, but something was missing. The teaching and ministering of our savior, Jesus the Christ.
Shiloh has God at the forefront of their curriculum and I think that is awesome.
Psalm 22:6 says that we are to train kids up in the way they should go (seeking God) so when they get older they will not depart from it.
When I attended the fund raiser and heard the testimonies of some of the youth that attended Shiloh and the impact that Shiloh has had in their lives, I have to be honest, I WAS BLOWN AWAY.
I knew there and then that I had to get involved and support this ministry any which way I can. You see, putting a smile on a kid's face and contributing to life time memories is priceless.
It is truly a huge blessing to do what I can with my time, talents and treasures in the Shiloh Journey as I call it.
Thank you all for allowing me to be of service!!
PS: What a great time of work and fellowship with my fellow brethren from Tennessee!!”
