“Working at Shiloh gave me invaluable experience that not many other camp counselors get. I remember after each session the campers would load into buses and we would always run with the buses as they were pulling out. I remember struggling to connect with the campers sometimes throughout the sessions. Growing up in a different culture and environment meant that there was a lot different about me and my campers. But whenever everybody was leaving, I remember how sad I was, and how sad they were, when we were saying goodbye. Although I was a pretty different person from the campers, we still cared for each other. The love of God isn’t picky, and being at Shiloh showed me that all are loved and all are welcome.
