Alumni Voices: Steven's Shiloh Highlights (Post 7)

Steven, we are so grateful for your many years of service and dedication. You have given so much to Shiloh, and served in so many roles helping with school partnerships, leading HiDef meetings, cooking fabulous camp meals, and volunteering at work week. We are so grateful for you, and that you are a part of the Shiloh family.

“It was important for me to experience Shiloh because growing up in New York City it’s hard to find places outside of your home and school that can provide a safe engaging environment for the community’s youth.

The 2018 Houston Texas Hurricane Relief Missions Trip was a meaningful experience with Shiloh for me. Being in a position to help people in need even though I had things going on in my life was very humbling and fulfilling.

What my Shiloh experiences mean to me and have shown me in my life journey is that there’s always an opportunity to give back to the community. In addition, there is always going to be an opportunity to lead with love & grace (though it may not be easy or favorable). Most of all, my Shiloh experience has shown there is always going to be a family of people who will move mountains and part seas to see me achieve my goals. And in the midst of all of that, Drink Water & Be Amazing!”
