Leslie Bibilari-Vanterpool memorial Fund

Leslie Bibilari-Vanterpool lived with great love as an advocate and recruiter for Shiloh and countless numbers of children, families in the South Bronx and every community she called home. At the request of her children we gratefully set up this memorial fund to direct gifts in celebration of her life.

She served as PTA President at P.S. 30 for well over a decade where Shiloh hosted a tutoring and afterschool program in which her daughters Nakeisha and Nicole participated. She created a stronger community by volunteering at the school, engaging with neighbors, and at all things Shiloh; from summer camp, to after-school programs and HiDef for teens, and advocating for the importance of post secondary education and scholarships.

Her voice has been a steady, fierce advocacy for children and their well-being, as she has garnered support for camper scholarships and recruited many campers to enjoy a break from the city. She valued education, and the post-high school scholarships for higher learning. She not only volunteered thousands of hours speaking and sharing, she supported the work monthly with a gift.

The Shiloh family celebrates the life of Leslie as we direct these gifts to the work at camp and specifically towards access to education scholarships she so fiercely believed in and advocated for. She shared Shiloh with all she could, including her children who have attended and served at Camp Shiloh ~ a community she called family, and where she is known as family.
