FOOD DELIVERY
Over 120 grocery and 25 meal deliveries have been made to families since March, and continue as fresh produce remains a need for many families. The best part about delivering meals and groceries is being able to connect with a family. Sometimes it is the first time we’ve met a camper’s family, and others we have known for decades.
One family had not had a full pantry or produce in weeks, and another was unable to shop because of ill family members. Some experienced job loss, and others were missing the food provided by school meals.

HOUSING
Many families were left vulnerable with the unknowns created by unexpected job loss, illness, or death, which is compounded for immigrant families.Shiloh has helped 11 families pay rent, 12 families pay their utility bills, and 16 families with items needed for their home. Shiloh covered for physical and mental health bills for 14 families.

TECHNOLOGY
8 families did not have the technology needed to transition to working and learning from home. Whether it was from a waiting list for school equipment, a college student that could no longer go to the computer lab, or a parent that’s job did not provide a computer, Shiloh was able to get these families set up.

PASTORAL CARE
Over 400 calls have been made to campers, staff, volunteers, and young adults to check in, offer prayers, assess needs and listen, Shiloh’s teen program continued to meet virtually through the summer. During August, 26 families attended the Camp getaway weekends and shared in a time of prayer and reflection. 17 families have been given referrals for additional support.
We provided 63 meals, 2 rounds of coffee, and PPE equipment through a partnership with Lipscomb University to an ICU in the Bronx.
