CIT PROGRAM MANAGER: GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be entrusted with the vital responsibility of hiring, interviewing, and mentoring Counselors in Training (CITs) for the summer camp sessions. You will design and implement engaging lesson plans, coordinate work and break schedules, and organize meaningful outings to celebrate their hard work and build camaraderie. Your efforts will play a key role in preparing CITs to transition into successful Shiloh staff members, shaping the next generation of camp leaders. This position requires dedication, creativity, and a passion for guiding young individuals toward excellence.

Ratio: 1 coordinator for the camp season
Qualifications and Certifications:
1. A Christian visionary leader with a positive attitude and energetic personality, capable of inspiring and organizing large groups of kids and staff in games and activities.
2. Minimum age: 21 years with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. 1-2 years of experience in leading groups, activities, or camp leadership roles.
4. Comfortable speaking in front of large groups and guiding diverse teams.
5. Experience in developing teen programs focused on growth, awareness, and life skills, with a passion for fostering personal development.
6. Skilled in modeling and teaching leadership, communication, and healthy relationship practices, including setting and maintaining boundaries.
7. Highly organized, flexible, and creative when planning and executing the CIT program.
8. Ability to uphold and enforce guidelines set by Shiloh and the State of New York with integrity.
9. Able to act decisively and with honor in all situations.
10. Driver’s license preferred but not required.

General Areas of Responsibilities (List not inclusive of all duties):
1. Recruitment: Actively recruit CIT candidates during the Spring in preparation for the upcoming camp season.
2. Skill Development: Foster the development of professional work skills in CITs, helping them grow into capable leaders.
3. Community Management: Guide and nurture the CIT community, focusing on interpersonal relationship building and facilitating reconciliation when needed.
4. Activity and Class Support: Assign CITs to assist with camp activities and classes, ensuring they are involved in meaningful ways.
5. Leadership Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to CITs, supporting their present development and future leadership growth.
6. Professionalism and Accountability: Monitor curfew, professionalism, and overall conduct of CITs during their time at camp, ensuring high standards are maintained.
7. Flexible Support: Be ready to jump in and help with various camp tasks as needed, including serving food, washing dishes, or assisting in other areas.

Must be capable of carrying loads of up to 90 pounds and able to traverse hilly and uneven terrain without undue exertion.
Work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.
Perform essential program support to camp activities and programs which may include, but not limited to the following activities: semi – reaching to full-reach overhead, crouching, kneeling, shoveling, working in narrow and/or confining spaces underground, overhead, and at ground level, twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs, and lying on stomach and/or back.
Must have the ability to physically manage and support children when needed for safety in general camp activities (child weighing 50 - 200 pounds).

STIPEND:
$300+ per week depending on experience. Meals, housing and transportation are provided.
