ACTIVITIES MANAGER:
You will be captain of fun! You are charged up and in charge of organizing and planning the activities of Shiloh’s summer camp program. Responsible for overseeing and running the afternoon activities, evening activities, morning classes, weekend games, climbing tower and low ropes course and overall camp themes. In addition, creating purchase orders for all necessary supplies for camp activities.
General Responsibilities:
The Activities Director is in charge of organizing and planning the activities of Shiloh’s summer camp program. Responsible for overseeing and running the afternoon activities, evening activities, morning classes, weekend games, climbing tower and low ropes course and overall camp themes. In addition, creating purchase orders for all necessary supplies for camp activities.

Qualifications and Certifications:
✴ Christian visionary leader with positive attitude and energetic
personality; highly organized, self motivated, and able to lead large groups of kids and staff in games or activities
✴ Minimum age: 20
✴ One year camp and/or leadership experience.
✴ Comfortable talking in front of large groups
✴ Flexible
✴ Creative and innovative when planning camp activity program
✴ Some training/background in First Aid and CPR preferred
✴ Able to uphold and enforce guidelines established by Shiloh as well as the State of New York
✴ Able to act decisively and honorably in dealing with staff or campers

General Areas of Responsibilities (List not inclusive of all duties):
1. Plan and facilitate daily evening activities for cabin games (ex: Pirate Night, Weekend Games).
2. Lead afternoon large group activities for guys and girls.
3. Coordinate and help activity class teachers plan morning activity classes.
4. Ensure all necessary supplies are purchased for activities while staying within a budget.
6. Organize the decorating rec. hall and other areas of camp to go along with camp theme or activity.
7. Help Camp Directors in coordinating camper check-in each session.
8. Be aware of and address (if need be) any problems that impede flow of camp.
10. Effectively mentor and teach a Counselor In Training (CIT) as they serve as the activities assistant.
11. Serve the needs of the staff or campers at all times.
12. Assist with serving of food during meals.
13. Teach/facilitate daily Cross Training class.

Must have the physical ability to lead and participate in camp activities which include, but are not limited to, hiking, swimming, team building initiatives, building campfires, physical games, and activities.
Must be capable of carrying loads of up to 90 pounds and able to traverse hilly and uneven terrain without undue exertion.
Work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.
Perform essential program support to camp activities and programs which may include, but not limited to the following activities: semi – reaching to full-reach overhead, crouching, kneeling, shoveling, working in narrow and/or confining spaces underground, overhead, and at ground level, twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs, and lying on stomach and/or back.
Must have the ability to physically manage and support children when needed for safety in general camp activities (child weighing 50 - 200 pounds).
Ability to perform a variety of tasks outdoors in different climates.

STIPEND:
$300+ per week depending on experience. Meals, housing and transportation are provided.
